Upin, Ipin and gang wait for Mail to return from delivering lemang before all of them head to Tok Dalang's house. Mail arrives with his father's huge bicycle. When Upin and Ipin reach Tok Dalang's house, there seems to be no one at home. But when they mention that they are bringing rendang for him, Tok Dalang suddenly appears and invites them to come in. Upin and Ipin's friends all jump out from their hiding places and rush into Tok Dalang's house. Tok Dalang serves them ketupat lembu which is uniquely-shaped and bigger than the usual ketupat.

Eid Morning is the most meaningful day for Upin and Ipin. They both ask forgiveness from Opah and Kak Ros. Later their friends come to visit their house. Opah was impressed when she learns that Mail helps with his parent's business. But Mail will get more good deeds if he fasts the whole month. Mail agrees to fast next year, and apologizes to Opah for charging too much for the lemang he sold. Opah forgives him, and all of them prepare to leave for Tok Dalang's house to deliver rendang.

Ramadhan is over, Upin and Ipin are elated that they fasted the whole month this year. Since Tarawih is over, Kak Ros allows them to go out and play with sparklers. While they're playing, they see Fizi and Ehsan with their fathers going to the surau for takbir. They could not follow them because Opah did not go. They continue to play together until Kak Ros calls them for help. They help Kak Ros by preparing the living room for the guests who are coming to perform the Eid takbir.

While playing with friends, Upin, Ipin, Fizi, and Ehsan see Ehsan's father and other people pay zakat at the surau. Once they get home, they immediately tell Opah what they saw. Opah suddenly remembered that she has not paid the zakat yet. Upin and Ipin follow Opah to the surau to pay the zakat, but there was no one there anymore. Will they be able to pay the zakat before Eid?

Kak Ros and Opah are busy making ketupat and Upin and Ipin offer to help them. They try to weave ketupat but fail. Instead of making traditionally-shaped ketupats, they make unique and weird shapes. Kak Ros scolds them for not being serious about helping her and Opah. Upin finally made a proper ketupat, but the size was too small. When Kak Ros asks him to redo it, they both give up. What will Kak Ros do?

With Eid getting closer, Upin and Ipin try to persuade their sister Ros to buy new clothes for them. When Kak Ros refuses to buy new clothes for them, they try to ask from Opah. Opah promises to buy them new clothes. One afternoon, they go out to see their friends. They were excited to see Ehsan's new clothes. Will Upin and Ipin get new clothes this Eid?

Upin and Ipin's classmates are abuzz over Fizi's bandaged hand. Fizi relates what happened the night before. Miss Jasmin then enters the class and begins a discussion on the reasons and benefits of fasting. The class ends with everyone asking for forgiveness from one another.

Upin and Ipin learn about the meaning and significance of Lailatul Qadr from Opah. They decide that they will stay on in the mosque after night prayers to recite the Qur'an and perform supplications instead of playing. On arrival at the mosque, Ehsan and Fizi invites the twins to play firecrackers after the prayers. However, Upin and Ipin stick to their plan and stay on in the mosque. Meanwhile, fireworks explode in the background...

Kak Ros brings Upin and Ipin to the Ramadhan Bazaar. On arrival, Kak Ros instructs them to buy only one dish each. The twins' fasting willpower are severely tested by the many choices of tempting chicken dishes. They also meet Mail, who helps his mother sell fried chicken at a stall. The twins finally buy many chicken dishes but can they finish it all?

Upin and Ipin are performing their fast well, but they wonder why their teacher Miss Jasmin is not fasting. Opah lets Kak Ros explain why women are excepted from fasting. In the evening as they are playing games with their friends, Upin and Ipin are asked by Opah to send food to Tok Dalang. She explains that it is a good deed to give food and alms during Ramadhan. What will Tok Dalang do in return?

Ever wondered when Ramadhan starts? So do Upin and Ipin... Excited about the upcoming Ramadhan, they ask their elder sister Kak Ros, who explains to them that the month starts when the new moon is sighted. Intrigued by this newfound information, the duo set out to look for the new moon together that very night, and of course things do not go according to plan

A year has passed, and Upin and Ipin are now in kindergarten at Tadika Mesra. They have made many new friends but are still up to their mischievous antics with their close friends. Fizi and Upin each bring their own pet spiders for play before class starts but their game is interrupted when Miss Jasmin arrives. During class, Miss Jasmin informs the kids about the upcoming month of Ramadhan which makes Upin, Ipin and their gang talk animatedly about their previous fasting experience

The episode starts with the boys, grandmother and sister visiting their parent’s grave in the morning of Raya. On their return from visiting the grave, their friends are around at their house to celebrate Raya together. We then see how they enjoy the food prepared by their grandmother with all their friends of various races and religions. While eating, they will be sharing their experience of fasting for the first time and Opah who will always be around providing advices and encouragements for them to fast in the coming years.

In this episode, the grandmother is trying to convince Upin and Ipin that fasting is an obligation that will be rewarded by Allah with enlightenment after life. It is the trend now that parent rewards their children with money for fasting instead of making them understand that fasting is a religious obligation. The episode will also be spice up with comical scenes of the boys preparing for Raya in a true Malaysian style.

Their chance of following their Grandmother and sister to the surau for tarawikh is only realized after a few days of fasting. Tarawikh prayers, which is only performed during the month of Ramadhan, is an occasion that children look upon to play with their friends at night rather then praying. It is no exception for Upin and Ipin, as they meet their friends. After the usual exchanges of their experience in fasting, they started playing a typical kids game in Malaysia. Their fun are stopped abruptly by their sister and ordered to join the prayer session.

It is time for them to break fast after undergoing a lot of obstacles on their first day of fasting. It is common in Malaysia for Muslim families to prepare delicious food especially on the first day of fasting. The temptations of the boys and their excitement to the food prior to the breaking of fast will be interesting and fun to watch. Their hard works in fasting are rewarded when they enjoy the food to the limit. Both of them fell asleep soon after that with their stomach full, derailing their plan to go to the surau for tarawikh prayers.

It is always difficult for young boys to fast for the first time especially if they are active and mischievous. They tend to forget that they are fasting when they wake up in the morning or after playing in the hot sun. The element of other religions respecting each other beliefs which is the essence of Malaysian life is clearly portrayed in this episode. Their non-Muslim friends will remind them that they are fasting when they forget. The episode will also bring nostalgic memories to the older viewers on how we fast during their first time.

This episode shows how two 5 years old boys, Upin and Ipin, reacts when the word “fasting” is introduced to them. Like any other kids, they are curious to the reason and purpose of fasting. Their grandmother and sister are ever ready to explain to them in a subtle manner the meaning and reason for fasting. A comical scene of them having to wake up in the early hours of the morning for sahur will add up some spice to this episode.
